Step-by-Step Guide to DIY Glitter Tumbler

Introduction

Welcome back to my channel! In today's video, we will be creating a beautiful Christmas-themed Tumblr using spray paint, glitters, Mod Podge, and fabric. Follow along as we transform a plain tumbler into a sparkling masterpiece.

Step 1: Sanding and Spray Paint

The first step is to sand the tumbler to create a smooth surface for painting. Once the sanding is done, it's time to apply the spray paint. Choose your desired color and evenly spray it onto the tumbler. Don't worry if there are any accidents or imperfections, as they will be covered up later with the glitter.

Step 2: Applying Glitter

Now it's time for the fun part - adding glitter! Start by applying the blue glitter and let it dry. Use a dry paintbrush to dust off any excess glitter onto a piece of paper. For those wondering why I'm using my bare hands instead of a brush, it's personal preference and saves on cleaning supplies. As long as you don't have any skin irritations or allergies, it's perfectly fine.

Step 3: Clear Coat Spray Paint

To ensure the glitter stays in place, we need to apply a few coats of clear spray paint. This will protect the glitter and give the tumbler a glossy finish. Let the clear coat dry overnight to ensure it's fully cured and the glitter won't come off.

Step 4: Quick Coat Application

Next, we'll apply a few coats of quick coat, which will enhance the glitter and provide a smooth finish. Let each coat cure for a few hours before applying another. For chunkier glitters like the purple one, a little bit of light sanding may be necessary to achieve a smoother surface.

Step 5: Adding Fabric

Now it's time to add some fabric to give our tumbler a unique touch. Attach the fabric using Mod Podge, making sure to cover any rough edges. Once the fabric is in place, apply another layer of quick coat to seal it and give it a finished look.

Step 6: Removing Tape and Cleaning Up

After the tumbler is fully cured, remove any tape used during the crafting process. Clean up any excess glue or glitter around the rim for a clean final appearance.

Conclusion

And there you have it - a stunning glitter tumbler perfect for any glitter and movie fan. I hope you enjoyed this DIY project and found it helpful.
