Introduction

Hey y'all, it's Amanda with Tech Mama in the Big Brigade! I hope everybody's having a good Monday. Today, I wanted to share with you all the ups and downs I've been experiencing over the weekend. From overeating to kidney stones to missing out on content creation, it's been quite a rollercoaster ride. But through it all, I've managed to make progress on a big project and even snagged a great deal on some yarn. So let's dive in and take a closer look at the events that unfolded.

A Rough Weekend for Amanda

Last time I talked to y'all, I was okay. But since then, it's been a little bit of a rough weekend for me. It all started on Friday night when John and I decided to indulge in a little bit of overeating. We treated ourselves to a fried fish dinner and a Sonic Blast. While I didn't finish all of the Sonic Blast, I devoured most of the fried fish dinner. Little did I know that this indulgence would lead to a night of discomfort and purgatory.

Indulging in Overeating

I must admit, I had been restraining myself from indulging in big plates of food for a while. So when the opportunity arose to enjoy a fried fish dinner, I couldn't resist. Being from Louisiana, fried fish is a rare treat for me, and I simply couldn't pass it up. The taste was so good that I ended up overeating and paying the price.

The Consequences of Overeating

After consuming that delicious fried fish dinner, I spent the rest of the night in discomfort. My stomach was not happy with the excess food I had consumed. I found myself in purgatory, battling the consequences of my overindulgence. It's moments like these that remind me of the importance of moderation and listening to my body's signals.

Dealing with a Hangover

Saturday was no picnic either. I woke up feeling the aftermath of my overeating adventure. It felt like I had a hangover, minus the alcohol. My body was still trying to recover from the excess food, and I just didn't feel like myself. It's days like these where I wished I had practiced better self-control.

Battling with Kidney Stones

As if the consequences of overeating weren't enough, I also had to deal with the persistent pain of kidney stones. These stones are no joke and have been draining my energy. I apologize for not being able to create content over the past few days. It's not how I wanted things to go, but I've been working on a big and beautiful project that I'm excited to share with you all.

The Frustration of Missing Content Creation

Missing out on creating content has been a source of frustration for me. I take pride in providing valuable and engaging content for y'all. However, my lack of energy due to kidney stones has made it difficult to focus and be productive. I know some of you have been eagerly waiting for new videos, and I apologize for the delay. Rest assured, I am doing my best to recover and get back into the swing of things.

The Progress on a Big Project

Despite the challenges I've faced, I've managed to make progress on a big project. Today, I finally got it as close to being done as possible. I added four more rounds to each side since I last showed y'all. Although I wish I had figured out the sleeves beforehand, I'm still proud of the overall outcome. However, the sleeves turned out larger than expected, and I'm not entirely satisfied with them.

The Challenges with Cardigan Sleeves

My cardigan sleeves ended up being much larger than I had anticipated. It was a lesson learned in the process. I realized that I should have planned the sleeves before starting the project. Now, I'm left with oversized sleeves that don't quite match the rest of the cardigan. However, since this cardigan is for personal use and not for sale, I've come up with a temporary fix. I created a small drawstring with a chain and tied a bow at the end, which helps gather the excess fabric.

Taking Advantage of a Great Deal

During this project, I used three whole cakes of Karen's Big Cakes yarn. However, I still have a fourth one left. I came across a fantastic deal at Michael's, where they were offering stacked coupons and a ten-dollar voucher. Being the yarn lover that I am, I couldn't resist purchasing more of the Karen Cotton Cakes yarn in the Beach Glass colorway. I've been eyeing this color for months, and it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. With this deal, I paid less than eight dollars per cake, making it a steal.

Conclusion

Despite the challenges I've faced with overeating, kidney stones, and the frustration of missing content creation, I've managed to find silver linings along the way. Progressing on my big project and taking advantage of a great yarn deal gave me a sense of accomplishment. I hope to figure out a solution for the sleeves in my next cardigan and continue creating content for y'all. Keep an eye out for updates on my surgery, and as always, remember that I love you, Jesus loves you, and consider adopting pets from shelters or rescues. Stay tuned for the video of me wearing the cardigan!
