Introduction
Hi there! Welcome back to Just Another Stitch. If you're new here, my name is Connie, and I'm thrilled to have you join me. Today, I want to talk about my love for fall and give you an update on my crochet projects. I also have some exciting announcements, so stay tuned!
About the Author
Before we dive into the topic, let me briefly introduce myself. My name is Connie, and I am passionate about all things crochet. I started this channel to share my love for the craft and connect with fellow crochet enthusiasts. If you're new to my channel, feel free to leave a comment and let me know how you found out about me. I'd love to get to know you better!
The Love for Fall
Ah, fall - the season of cozy sweaters, pumpkin spice, and beautiful foliage. As the temperatures start to turn cooler, I can't help but feel excited. Living in Louisiana, where summers can get scorching hot, I eagerly anticipate the arrival of fall. The crisp air and the changing colors of the leaves bring a sense of tranquility and joy. I know that not everyone gets to experience the vibrant hues of fall leaves, but I still appreciate the season for all its other delights.
Crochet Projects Update
Now, let's talk about the progress I've made on my crochet projects this past week. I've been working on a blanket adorned with little peppermints, and I'm happy to say that I have completed four more of them. With these additions, I now have a total of eight peppermints for the blanket. I only need two more and then I'll move on to a different edging for the peppermints.
In addition to the peppermint blanket, I've also been designing another blanket. I recently finished a section that featured a unique stitch. Although I don't know what the stitch is called, it resembles an arrow and adds a beautiful texture to the blanket. I've started incorporating a new color called taupe, and I'm loving how it complements the existing chocolate brown. I plan to create tutorials for both the initial stitch and the arrow stitch, so stay tuned for those.
Announcements: Live Streams and Giveaways
Now, onto the exciting announcements. I want to let you know that I won't be going live tonight at 7 PM as originally planned. Unfortunately, I'm not feeling my best, and I want to make sure I deliver quality content. However, I am still planning to go live on Saturday at 1 PM central standard time. It will be a day of games, including a Wheel of Fortune-style puzzle game and a guessing game where you have to estimate the number of objects in a container. I'll be giving away some of my crochet patterns during the live stream, so make sure to join in the fun!
Looking ahead to Sunday, on the 26th, the Five Urnaholics will be going live on Stephanie's channel, Life and Stitches. If you're not familiar with us, the Five Urnaholics consists of Stephanie, Cindy, Lisa, Crystal, and myself. We'll be having a blast, so mark your calendars for Sunday at 3 PM central standard time.
Yorny Friends Finished Projects
Starting from the 15th of each month, I'll be doing a video showcasing my Yorny friends' finished projects. The first video will be released on October 15th, so if you want your beautiful creations to be featured, all you have to do is email me your pictures or post them in my Facebook group. I'm excited to see what you've been working on, so don't miss out on this opportunity!
Cat News: Allie and Sophie
Now, onto some cat news. Allie, my lovely feline friend, has been going back into hiding mode lately. She spends most of her days hidden somewhere, only coming out at night for a quick meal. Right now, I believe she's sleeping under the bed, as that's where she usually emerges from when she's feeling a bit braver. On the other hand, Sophie, another one of my cats, has been a major love bug. She's been giving me comforting massages, purring, and even engaging in conversations with her distinct vocalizations.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I want to thank you for joining me today on this journey through fall, crochet projects, and cat news. I hope you enjoyed this update and are looking forward to all the exciting things happening in the future. Remember to subscribe to my channel, give this video a thumbs up, and share it on your social media platforms. Also, don't forget to participate in the upcoming live streams and share your finished projects for a chance to be featured. As always, be the light in someone's day. Until next time, take care and bye!
