Finished Object: The Grim Reaper Gnome
The first thing I want to show you is the Grim Reaper gnome that I recently completed. This adorable little guy features a black beard and a tombstone with "Rest in Peace" inscribed on it. I was commissioned to create this set, and while it took me some time to finish, I'm thrilled with the result. The gnome itself was crocheted using Shep Katona cotton in jet black for the beard and hazelnut for the skin tone. The scythe was made with Katona cotton in the color Mercury, and for the handle, I used a mini version of Durable Coral in hazelnut. The second finished object I want to share with you is this adorable pom pom banner. It's perfect for adding a touch of Halloween decoration to your home. The banner features pom poms in classic candy corn colors - white, yellow, and orange. I used Big Twist Value yarn in white and Varsity yellow, as well as Red Heart Super Saver yarn in pumpkin for the orange pom poms. To hang the pom poms, I used twine that I found at the Dollar Tree and added small hooks to either end for easy placement. I love how this banner turned out, and I'm considering hanging it in my living room to match the Halloween theme.
