Day 1: Crocheting the Temperature Blanket - Orange Color, Simple Double Crochet Stitch

Welcome to week one of the temperature blanket crochet along! Today, we will be starting with the color orange for day one. The stitch we will be using for today is the simple double crochet. To begin, create a slip stitch and put it on your hook. Yarn over and pull through the loop, then start creating as many chains as you would like. I recommend doing a total of 300 chains, but feel free to adjust according to your preferences. Once the chains are done, we can start doing our double crochet round. Yarn over, insert your hook into the second chain from the hook, and yarn over again. Pull through a loop, and you should have three loops on your hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, and yarn over again to pull through two more loops to complete the double crochet. Continue double crocheting in every single chain space all the way down your piece. This will complete day one of your temperature blanket.

Day 2: Crocheting the Temperature Blanket - Orange Color, Star Stitch

For day two of crocheting your temperature blanket, we will be sticking with the color orange. Today's stitch is the star stitch. To start this off, we will do a couple of chains and then turn our work. To create the star stitch, insert your hook into the first stitch and pull through a loop. Do not finish the stitch, instead, go into the next stitch, pull through a loop, and repeat this until you have a total of six loops on your hook. Once you have six loops, yarn over and pull through all six loops to create a star-like cluster. Chain one to join these together. For the second star cluster, we will insert our hook into the chain one space between the spikes of the star, pull up a loop, and then go into the space where our last loop was made. Repeat this process to create more star clusters. For the rest of this row, repeat the second star stitch pattern by going through the chain one space between the spikes. Once you complete the last starburst, finish the row with a half double crochet. This completes day two of your temperature blanket.
