Introduction
Welcome back to my channel! In today's video, I want to give you an update on my stash. But before we dive in, I just wanted to say thank you for all the support I've been receiving. It really means a lot to me. Alright, let's get started!
Vlog Style Stash Update
So, as mentioned earlier, I'll be doing a vlog-style stash update. I know it adds a little more entertainment value, so I hope you enjoy it. For those who didn't catch my previous video, feel free to pause and count all my yarn stash. Now, let's move on to the main focus of this video.
Organizing Scraps and Whips
After a quick stop at Chick-fil-A, I came home and decided it was time to organize my scraps and whips. I grabbed these black containers and started sorting my Parfait Chunky, Sweet Snuggles Light, and Exhale yarns into separate compartments. This will make it much easier for me to find the yarn I need for future projects. Additionally, I plan to consolidate all my whips, so I don't lose track of them. Whip Wednesday is coming up, and I want to work on some new projects.
Finished Unicorn Purse
Before diving into the organization process, I want to share my latest creation with you. I just finished making a jumbo unicorn purse, and it turned out absolutely adorable! I can't wait to add it to my collection. I think it will look great displayed at the very top. Now that we've celebrated this little accomplishment, let's get back to organizing.
Safety Eye and Felt Eye Stash Collection
Alright, now let's shift focus and talk about my safety eye and felt eye stash collection. Today, I decided not to show you my entire yarn stash as it may seem a bit repetitive. Instead, I'll give you a glimpse into the world of safety eyes and felt eyes. Let's take a closer look.
I have five containers dedicated to safety eyes and felt eyes. Three of these containers are solely for safety eyes, while the other two are a mix of both. In total, I have a wide range of sizes, including 25mm, 26mm, and 30mm eyes. Most of these eyes were sourced from AliExpress, and they come in various colors. To keep things organized, I remove the plastic covering, insert the desired color, and seal them shut with the matching backing.
I also have a collection of specialty eyes, such as heart-shaped safety eyes and noses. These add an extra touch of cuteness to my creations. Although I have a few colors of noses that I may not use, I might consider painting them or disposing of them in the future. The variety of eyes available allows me to bring different characters to life and add unique details to my amigurumi projects.
Conclusion
That concludes today's stash update and organization session. I hope you enjoyed this vlog-style video, and I appreciate your support. FAQ
Q: Where do you source your safety eyes and felt eyes?
A: Most of the safety eyes are purchased from AliExpress, while some are from other creators like Katydids and Jen's Crafty Creations. Felt eyes are mainly sourced from Dollar Tree.
Q: How do you organize your yarn scraps and whips?
A: I use black containers to sort and store my yarn scraps based on the type and color. As for my whips (Works in Progress), I keep them together in a separate container for easy access and project management.
Q: Can you recommend a good size for safety eyes?
A: It depends on your project. I find that 16mm safety eyes are versatile and commonly used. However, larger sizes like 25mm and 30mm are great for adding a bold and playful touch to amigurumi creations.
