Finished Objects
In this vlog, I am excited to share with you some of the finished objects that I have been working on. It's not just a bunch of works-in-progress, but actual completed projects that I'm proud to show you. So, if you're here for a regularly scheduled Saturday afternoon/evening vlog, you're in for a treat! Let's dive right into the finished objects.
Elephant Blanket
Last week, I mentioned that I had made some great progress on the elephant blanket. Well, I'm happy to announce that it's finally done! I wish I could show you the entire blanket in the frame, but it's quite large. Crocheting blankets has always been a challenge for me due to my lack of patience, but I am thrilled with how this one turned out. The marching elephant border was a real test of my patience, but I persevered, and the end result is simply stunning.
Hedgehog
Another finished object that I want to share with you is the hedgehog. Last week, I forgot to add the ears, but I have since corrected that. Let me tell you, the addition of the ears completely transformed its appearance. It's now even cuter and more adorable than before. I've also been working on perfecting the pattern for this little guy, and it should be ready for testers by mid-May or the beginning of June.
Hippo
Next up, we have the hippo. I decided to make this one with a nine-millimeter hook, making it bigger and squishier compared to the previous one I made with an eight-millimeter hook. I also added little half-circle eyes with blush marks using the same pink yarn I used for the elephant blanket. If you don't have that specific yarn, you can easily substitute it with any pink bulky yarn. The blush marks add a touch of character to the hippo, which otherwise would be a big blue plushie.
Deer Update
I've also been working on a deer project, but unfortunately, I haven't made enough progress to show you. So, instead, I have an exciting announcement to make. As some of you may know, my birthday week is coming up, and I had initially planned to do some fun things during that time. However, I've decided to move the celebration to the week after my birthday. Why? Well, I had an idea for a birthday surprise that required extra help, and my amazing pattern testers have graciously offered their assistance. So, get ready for some thrilling surprises and giveaways starting from May 18th and continuing throughout the week.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I'm thrilled to share these finished objects with you. The elephant blanket, hedgehog, and hippo turned out better than I could have imagined. I'm also eagerly looking forward to the birthday celebration and the surprises that await. Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I'll talk to you soon!
